Thank You for 30 Years

30-years-01

Today Morgan Hunter is celebrating 30 years in business!

We wanted to extend our thanks to you — without people like you, our success would not be possible.

On October 26, 1986, Jerry Hellebusch started Morgan Hunter with only a handful of people. Today, Morgan Hunter Companies employs over 50 people and is recognized as one of the leading staffing agencies in Kansas City.

“We have always believed that employees are a company’s greatest asset,” Hellebusch said. “Our goal is to make the recruitment process more humanized. I think our longevity is a testament to the fact that people appreciate personalized service.”

In 30 years, Morgan Hunter has placed thousands of professionals at some of Kansas City’s premier organizations.

JD Huxman, Chief Financial Officer at Morgan Hunter, attributes the success of the company to the connections our recruiters have cultivated over the years.

“At the core of Morgan Hunter is our personal relationships with clients and candidates,” Huxman said. “We don’t want to be a clearinghouse for resumes, but rather offer honest and personable service — that’s what it’s all about.”

Since 1986, Morgan Hunter has consistently expanded its recruiting expertise. We began by recruiting accounting and administrative professionals in 1986, and by the end of the decade, Morgan Hunter grew to include professionals in the Insurance, Information Technology, Human Resource, Sales and Marketing industries.

Morgan Hunter has continued to identify gaps in the recruiting business and provide staffing solutions to a variety of industries. In 2002, the national push toward digitized medical records led to the creation of Morgan Hunter Healthcare, a healthcare information technology staffing and consulting company that provides skilled technical professionals to healthcare organizations for their electronic medical record initiatives. In 2008, MHED was founded to provide local school districts with a cost-effective, high-quality solution to substitute teacher staffing.

As Morgan Hunter celebrates 30 years in business, Hellebusch predicts that the company will continue to grow despite a constantly changing job market.

“People have always predicted that something would take over the staffing industry, whether it’s the internet or something else,” he said. “It hasn’t happened because it’s still a person to person business. You still have to be able to locate and evaluate talent. As long as good talent is hard to find, our business will continue to thrive.”
