Jerry Hellebusch, President
Jerry has been involved in the executive search industry since 1979, with the last 28 years building his own highly successful firm, which has grown to be one of the largest search firms in the state of Kansas. During that time, he has been involved in more than 5,000 search assignments. Prior to his entry into the executive search industry, Jerry had a successful career in sales and sales management. His community involvement has included membership in the Kansas City Area Development Council, Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, Management Exchange Group, National Association of Personnel Services and Mid America Association of Personnel Services. Jerry has served as a board member of the Kansas City Association of Personnel Services and executive committee member and president of the American Association of Finance and Accounting.
JD Huxman, Chief Financial Officer
JD’s experiences in both public accounting and private industry brought him to the Morgan Hunter Companies in 1999. As CFO and part of the Management Team, he has been instrumental in the direction and growth of each MH company, separately and collectively. JD has served on numerous boards, and is the past president of Financial Executives International – Kansas City Chapter.
The Accounting & Finance Team
Harry Brewer has more than 19 years of accounting/finance recruiting experience, joining Morgan Hunter in January 2008. Prior to that, he worked as a Division Director of the largest national firm in the world, managing teams as large as twelve employees in the accounting/finance area. Throughout his career, Harry has specialized in placing individuals from public accounting into private industry, a particular passion he still holds. He not only places accounting and finance professionals, but actually worked in these fields prior to getting into recruiting – which makes his level of expertise, second to none in the industry. From chief financial officers to staff level accountants, Harry continues to have a positive impact on the lives of those with whom he works.
Casey Wright joined the Accounting and Finance Division in 2009 as a Senior Recruiting Manager. He was previously the market manager of a national search firm where he led a team of five recruiters. Casey won multiple top producer awards at both the regional and national levels. He brings invaluable market expertise, having worked with clients ranging from small privately held companies to Fortune 100 corporations in diverse industries. Casey has a proven track record of filling a wide array of entry level to top executive roles.
Jeff Olson has been an Executive Recruiter with the Accounting and Finance Division since 2004. Prior to his success with Morgan Hunter, Jeff held sales positions with multiple industry leading companies in the technology industry. His tenure and experience enable him to provide valuable perspective on the Kansas City market for his client companies and candidates alike. Partnering with some of the region’s top organizations, he has successfully recruited and placed a diverse range of positions, from entry level to top executives.
Andrew earned his degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining the team at Morgan Hunter, he spent nearly 2 years working in public accounting. His industry knowledge and experience, along with a strong work ethic, allow him to successfully match job seekers with our client’s needs. Andrew’s intuitive outlook and positive attitude will greatly enhance your career search and help to further your business goals.
The Administrative Team
Stephanie earned her degree in psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia and joined Morgan Hunter in July 2005. She is an executive recruiting consultant and Manager in the Administrative Division. Stephanie feels that her position at Morgan Hunter has enabled her to live her passion for assisting others to enhance their lives. Working with employed and unemployed individuals enables her to be a resource for her clients for both direct hire and temporary needs. In working with Stephanie, you will discover her strong work ethic and positive attitude. She has drive and ambition for success and wants to make a difference! Stephanie is also active in the community, including serving in a leadership role on the membership committee for SHRM-KC.
Adele joined the Morgan Hunter Administrative Division in 2009. She graduated from Kansas State University where she studied accounting. Adele has two years of prior staffing experience where her focus was on accounting & finance positions. From direct hire to contract and temporary engagements, Adele has the experience and dedication to make your search successful. Her positive attitude and strong communication skills make her a vital member of the Morgan Hunter team.
Melissa earned her degree from Kansas State University in Human Resource Management and Business Administration. Over the years Melissa has been an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and is also an alumni of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She has held multiple leadership positions in these organizations, which has helped her develop a solid network of candidates. Melissa possess great communication skills and a positive attitude that make her the perfect partner for your recruitment needs. Melissa is committed to ensuring a successful search in temporary, temporary to hire, or direct hire opportunities.
Andrea earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri- Columbia and joined the Morgan Hunter Administrative Division in 2012. She brings experience from working in a corporate account administrator position where she gained extensive knowledge in the administrative profession. Andrea has the ability to identify qualified and professional individuals, investigate their career desires and then match those job seekers with our clients’ needs. Andrea’s strong work ethic and reliability is a clear reflection of how hard she will work for both her candidates and clients.
Morgan earned her degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas prior to joining the Administrative Division at Morgan Hunter. She is an active alumni member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and brings experience recruiting in a corporate environment. Morgan brings a fresh set of ideas and experiences to the team. In working with her, you will find that her intuitive nature and strong work ethic makes her a perfect complement to your recruiting efforts.
The Human Resources Team
Carol has been with Morgan Hunter since 1996 and her diverse background allows her to connect with virtually anyone. Known for bringing a fresh perspective to situations, Carol is active in many professional organizations including the Society of Human Resource Management of Johnson County (SHRMJC). Carol holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in rehabilitation counseling.
Julie has been with Morgan Hunter since 1996. For the past decade, Julie has been heavily involved with the Society of Human Resource Management of Johnson County (SHRMJC) and gives much of her time to other community organizations. Julie co-manages the administrative division with Carol Schmidt and focuses on recruiting human resources candidates. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Kansas.
Pam Finnell, PHR, SHRM-CP
Pam has a well-developed network across the Midwest and joined Morgan Hunter in 2006. Since that time she has been actively involved in the local human resources community and served as president of the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Kansas City (SHRM-KC) in 2010. Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources from Avila University and received her PHR Certification in 2009.
Jennifer worked in Admissions Recruiting in post-secondary education for 16 years before joining the Human Resources Division at Morgan Hunter in 2017. She holds a bachelor of science degree in communications, with minors in marketing and psychology, and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management of Johnson County (SHRMJC). During her time in the education industry, Jennifer enjoyed helping people pursue their career goals — a passion she has continued at Morgan Hunter. Her recruiting experience, coupled with her desire to help people create a better future for themselves, makes her an invaluable resource to both clients and candidates.
The Information Technology Team
As a Director for the Information Technology Division, Adam takes great pride in linking candidates and clients in mutually beneficial situations. Since 2006, Adam has been effectively utilizing his skills as a hiring manager and his staffing experience to meet and exceed candidate and client goals. He takes great satisfaction in improving the careers of his candidates, and providing the exemplary results companies need.
Eric is the senior recruiter in the Morgan Hunter Information Technology Division, having joined the firm in 1998. Eric has a diverse professional background in business, both in Kansas City and San Diego. From CIOs to staff level IT professionals, Eric works with all levels of candidates to ensure a great match for client and candidate alike.
Josh worked in the placement industry in Lincoln, NE as a staffing consultant for a multitude of clients prior to joining the Information Technology Division at Morgan Hunter. As a detail oriented professional, Josh is able to connect client needs with professional candidates. He takes great pride in both providing solutions for clients and ensuring career growth for valued candidates. Josh earned his degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Wartburg College.
The Sales, Marketing & Advertising Team
Brian has been recruiting nationally and internationally on behalf of Fortune 500 companies since 1997, and has won multiple top producer and top sales awards throughout his career. He was previously a Practice Manager with a national firm where he led a team of 12 recruiters. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Central Missouri. Brian also serves on the Board of Directors for Thank You Walt Disney, Inc., a non-profit project to restore Walt Disney’s original animation studio in KC to create an educational center and museum.
Lisa Acree graduated from Missouri State University with a double major in Marketing with an emphasis in Advertising and Promotions and International Management and a minor in Spanish. She has worked in the sales, marketing, and advertising industry for over 8 years. Her in-depth knowledge of the Kansas City market allows her to find top talent for her clients. Lisa is currently the Ad 2 President for the American Advertising Federation of Kansas City(the nation’s largest and oldest AAF chapter). As Ad 2 President, she also serves on the AAF-KC Executive Board and AAF-KC Foundation Board. This allows her to not only be well networked to find the right candidates, but also to keep up to date with ever changing advertising and marketing trends. Lisa has proven to be a valuable partner for entry level to top executive positions.
Dan is a graduate of Kansas State University and has over 10 years of experience working in the sales, marketing and advertising industry. As a Kansas City native, Dan has built an extensive network and utilizes this network to connect with candidates and clients to establish mutually beneficial relationships. His extensive knowledge of the Kansas City employment landscape makes him a valuable asset to both candidates and clients alike.
Geoff has been in the Staffing industry since 2010 – placing permanent, temporary, and temporary to hire professionals in a wide range of fields. Geoff grew up in Denver, CO, and landed at the University of Kansas where he studied Health and Exercise Science. During college he started his career in sales/marketing and never let up. Since 2010, he has developed a reputation in the industry for acclimating to his clients’ and candidates’ needs as they grow and look for new, promising opportunities. His ability to adapt as the industry evolves has placed him in prime position to cater to our customers’ ever-changing visions, as well as our candidates’ desires to start the next chapter in their careers.
